November Decembers of the sculptor Akbar Sürsal's exhibition 'Urban Layers', consisting of works created entirely with recycled materials, will meet art lovers in Karaköy Artgalerim between November 16th and December 9th.
Sculptor Akbar Sürsal presents his works, which he calls 'Urban Layers', to art lovers at Artgalerim in Karaköy on November 16th. The works, all of which are created with recycling materials, open up to multilateralism both in form and content. Sürsal's ’Urban Layers" Exhibition will be open to visitors until December 9, 2023.
Sürsal invites art lovers to a personal image journey under their guidance with the intricate forms she puts in front of them in her exhibition.
The artist was inspired by John Berger, who said, “The thing that holds everything together is emptiness” with his works called "Urban Layers". Dec.
'Urban Layers' is a series of works in which the artist evaluates the recycling materials and embodies the illustrations that he has intricately stacked, transforming them into sculptures with bold and dominant colors.
Akbar Sürsal offers his audience countless story materials intertwined with objects that he sometimes deliberately, sometimes intuitively places inside the Urban Layers. Rather than being a storyteller, he prefers to draw the audience into his own stories with the forms he creates.
