In sculptor Akbar Sürsal's ”Urban Layers" exhibition; the works, all of which were created with recycling materials, emphasize multilayeredness both in form and content.

Sculptor Akbar Sürsal's ”Urban Layers" exhibition met with art lovers from Istanbul. The exhibition, which is located in Karakoy Artgalerim, will be open to visitors until December 9th.

Sculptor Akbar Sürsal has created his works, which he calls ”Urban Layers“, out of traditional materials and out of ”Ethyl Vinyl Acetate“ called ”Eva", which is formed by combining two materials Decoupled. The works, which are all created with recycling materials, emphasize multilayeredness both in form and content. Aiming to draw the audience into their own stories with the forms he has created, Akbar Sürsal has evaluated the recycling materials and embodied them in an intricate form, turning them into sculptures with bold and dominant colors. Sürsal's works, which use unusual materials in their works, are light enough to contrast with their dimensions.

We are always looking for images in the squares, streets, historical buildings of the cities we live in, and with the piles of construction that increase horizontally and vertically over time. Each of us leads a life based on our own center and we walk through the streets of the city with completely different impressions every time. Sürsal aims not to be a guide in these works, but to take everyone on a personal image journey under their own guidance with their own impressions and accumulations.
